J. Chiaka Ejike, MBBS, FAAP is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, practicing Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, California. She serves as the Program Director of the PCCM Fellowship. She completed her medical education at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria; Pediatric residency at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center, Brooklyn, New York and fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Children’s Hospital, Seattle, Washington.
She is committed to clinical research with goals that include advancing research in critically ill children, with a special interest in intra-abdominal hypertension and abdominal compartment syndrome. Her work has shed light on the volumes needed to accurately measure IAP using the bladder technique in children, a first step to understanding intra-abdominal pressure and its impact on children.
